School EU

Now this is something that drives me mad, and it happens more times than i like, teachers not turning up for lessons.

You might think i am being petty but her in the EU school collage etc, work a little different and the way schooling has progressed seems to me as going backwards instead of forwards.

You have teacher that are teaching our kids via the internet, don’t get me wrong nothing wrong with teachers using the internet as a tool but when they use the internet to teach their students by creating a website then adding document to them and then giving these so called documents to copy as homework that is not teaching that is being lazy. OK copying text from an page on the internet in my eyes is not teaching, yes you used to have to copy text out of a book sometime, i get that, it use to have a meaning to and actual lesson you where doing and was done to connect you with what you have just been taught in class that day not a lazy way of doing your job.

It’s no wonder our kids are under so much pressure stress self teaching themselves and then the teacher will give them a test to see if they have leant something from them doing nothing.

Now as you might have resiled from some of my other posts i am from the time when things where in my opinion hard but simple and without all this rubbish we are having to deal with today, and indirectly this is why i started putting my thought down right0rwrong as they might be.

Now from memory and that can be a little fuzzy sometimes living through the 80s 90s, when one of your teachers was sick or not able to attend your lessons for what ever reason, I am correct in saying that a temp teacher stepped in and in some cases you ended up with either the deputy head or the head Master which was never fun to teacher you either your set lesson or something close to it BUT you never apart from some very rare cases ended up teaching yourself.

These days well in my experience this is not the case, if a teacher decides for what ever reason, well lets name a few examples stress, sick, oh holiday, teachers course, strike and there is probably a few more that i have not experienced yet, they either end up in a classroom doing may be homework from another teachers or just sitting there doing nothing or in some cases more often than i would like a phone call from your son daughter or whatever saying there are no teachers this afternoon tomorrow can you come and get me.

Really is this how our kids are being educated today, the short answer is YES.
